Yemanja

Fishermen in Brazil celebrate and honor their devoted queen of the Ocean Yemanja. An altar is placed facing the ocean, with an image of the goddess, to protect them when they are at sea. Yemanja will bring abundance and prosperity to them and their families, she is fed with prayer, flowers, and candles. I love the dawn, watching the sun bid us goodnight, while fisherman and Yemanja respectfully interact in communion.
