Meiji Shrine

The most important Shinto shrine in Tokyo, is Meiji Jingu (Imperial Shrine) dating from the 1920.

Under a huge Otorii (gate) made from a 1,500 year old Japanese cypress, and large cedar trees, you will find the entrance to the shrine.

The beautiful prayer tree.

While i was admiring this peaceful shrine, i was blessed to witness a traditional Shinto wedding.

Meiji Shrine is beautiful and peaceful, creating serenity and beauty in the heart of Tokyo’s crazy busy city.
